It's difficult for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and once went over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the record chasers, are all that remain for a side that has achieved everything.

That it took as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to possess a record if not afforded the opportunity.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy being given a platform to deliver her most recent brilliance.

Initially recognized as the 19-year-old niece of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia couldn't capture either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory happened three months after her bow and seven world titles have followed from 10 tries across formats.

The gritty keeper was also there in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India temporarily stopped the run of success.

That loss "pushed us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy stated recently.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the final and was named player of the tournament. She guaranteed her country would not come up short.

The question of whether this newest brilliant performance topped that previous effort is debatable.

Certain people claim the case for final game tension. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this ton was much more difficult to predict.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

By the time she was dismissed her side needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the belief to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we believe we can succeed."

That comment will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this success following win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they exited the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a match Healy missed because of torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she later said she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

However although she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have postponed thoughts of retirement, this championship is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as skipper.
